MATERIO is a decorative sheet developed by Nakagawa Chemical Co., Ltd., who has been a leader in the decorative material industry ever since it developed the Cutting Sheet® in 1961. Harnessing its excellent technological capabilities, traditional Japanese materials such as gold, silver, copper, and verdigris are processed into sheets that everyone can obtain, whereas previously such materials had remained exclusively in the hands of artisans. These sheets are carefully manufactured piece by piece by craftsmen, and you can create a sophisticated space simply by adhering them onto the surfaces of walls and pillars. MTRL TOKYO has made sample booklets of MATERIO and they are currently on display. Feel free to hold them in your hands to get a feel of a texture that surpasses even that of Cutting Sheet, one that is unique to a material made from genuine metal.
