Nishijin Ori, the world-class fine fabric, is made in the Kyoto Nishijin area and is manufactured through a process with more than 20 steps such as twisting, dyeing, design, weaving, etc. Nishijin Ori comes in a variety of styles, from flashy patterns that incorporate gold thread, to delicate and subtle silk patterns. With roots dating back to the Kofun period, Nishijin Ori is a fabric that bonds tradition and history, and has the potential for many different applications in the future.
