The laminated pressboard of Mitsubishi Paper Mills Limited, which was originally designed to be used for mechanical parts, is manufactured with 100% kraft pulp and used as insulating material for power transformers. The milled ends left after the manufacturing process, while being unmistakably paper, have a texture similar to wood, and distinctive stripes due to the lamination. The material is expected to have possibility applications for various products. Similar to timber, the processing of the mill ends is easy so you can take advantage of its assets while reducing cost.
